Delivery Milestone Explainer

What Does "Out for Delivery" Mean in Call Courier Tracking?

When tracking changes to "Out for Delivery", your parcel is on its last step. Here is how to get ready, what to do for cash on delivery and what happens if you miss the rider.

The Last Step Explained

When Call Courier (now PostEx) scans your parcel as "Out for Delivery", it has left the local branch and is on a rider’s delivery list for the day.

What Happens on Delivery Day:

  • The parcel is added to a rider’s delivery list at the local branch. We could not confirm the exact times.
  • The rider takes the parcels for their area.
  • The rider delivers along a route during the day.
  • Deliveries run Monday to Saturday.

When Will the Rider Come?

Metropolitan Centers

In cities such as Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Faisalabad and Multan, riders cover set areas. We could not confirm set delivery times, so keep your phone on during the day. Deliveries run on Monday to Saturday.

Commercial & Office Addresses

If your parcel is going to an office, tell reception you are expecting it. We could not confirm whether offices get morning deliveries, so plan for any time during the working day.

Checklist for Delivery Day

1

Keep Your Phone On

The rider may call or send an SMS when they are close. Keep your phone switched on and with signal.

2

Have the Right Cash for COD

The rider might not have change on hand. Having the exact amount ready makes the handover quicker for you and for the rider.

3

Check the Seal on the Flyer

Before you sign, check the flyer. Make sure the tape is not torn, cut or opened.

4

Ask Someone to Receive It

If you have to go out, ask a family member, colleague or receptionist to receive the parcel, and leave them the COD cash.

Call Courier Delivery Attempt Failed? If You Miss the Rider

If the rider comes and nobody is there, or calls are not answered, the parcel goes back to the local branch with a problem status, such as "Customer Unreachable" or "Premises Closed".

Re-attempt Policy: Call Courier has not published how many more tries it makes before sending a parcel back (Return to Shipper, RTS). Check your tracking again the next working day, and contact the helpline quickly.

To arrange another delivery or give better directions, call the Call Courier helpline on (042) 111-786-227 with your 11 to 14-digit tracking number.
