Common Reasons Tracking Pauses
Tracking only updates when a parcel’s barcode is scanned at a hub, sorting centre or by the rider. When the status does not change, it rarely means the parcel is lost. The most common reasons are:
Booked but Not Yet Collected
When a shop prepares an order, it creates a tracking number (usually 11 to 14 digits) before Call Courier collects the parcel. Until the parcel is scanned at the first hub, tracking may only show "Booked".
Travelling Between Cities
Parcels between cities, such as Karachi to Lahore, travel by road. They are not scanned on the way, so a long gap on a long route is normal.
Sorting at the Hub
When a parcel reaches a hub, it has to be unloaded and sorted before it gets its arrival scan. We could not confirm the exact times this happens.
Sundays and Public Holidays
Call Courier does not deliver on Sundays, public holidays or Eid. Hubs and trucks keep working at the weekend, but a parcel may show no delivery scan until Monday.
What Pauses Usually Mean
| Status | What a Pause Usually Means |
|---|---|
| Booked | The parcel may not have been collected yet. If it stays here, ask the shop whether it was handed over. |
| In Transit | The parcel is travelling between hubs. No scans on the road is normal. |
| Out for Delivery | The rider has it today. If the day ends with no delivery and no reason shown, call the helpline. |
Actionable Troubleshooting Protocol
Step 1: Check the Tracking Number
Make sure you entered the 11 to 14-digit number. Numbers starting with letters, such as "ORD-", are shop order numbers, not Call Courier tracking numbers.
Step 2: Check With the Shop
If tracking has said "Booked" for a long time, ask the shop whether it has actually handed the parcel to Call Courier.
Step 3: Call the Helpline
If your parcel has not moved for much longer than the earlier gaps on its trip, call the helpline on (042) 111-786-227 or email support@postex.pk with your tracking number and ask them to check.
