Why Is a Parcel Returned to the Shipper?
A parcel is usually not sent back after just one failed try. It is returned when delivery has failed and cannot be arranged, or when a return is requested. We could not confirm how many tries Call Courier makes.
Phone Not Answered
Riders need to reach the buyer by phone. If the phone is off, not answered or out of signal when the rider tries, the parcel may be marked as not deliverable.
Buyer Refused
If the buyer tells the rider they cancelled the order, no longer want it or will not pay for a cash on delivery parcel, it is marked to go back.
Address Problems
An address without a house number, street name, landmark or sector can be impossible for the rider to find, especially in new housing areas.
Away From Home
If the buyer is away and nobody else can receive the parcel, it may be sent back. We could not confirm how long a local branch keeps a parcel.
The Reverse Transit Timeline
| Phase | What Happens | What It Means for You |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Delivery Attempt Fails | The rider records a problem, such as "Unreachable" or "Address Incomplete". | Call the helpline quickly to arrange another try |
| 2. Kept at the Branch | The parcel is kept at the local branch for a period. We could not confirm how long. | Best time to act |
| 3. Marked for Return | The parcel is marked to go back and starts its return trip. | Return trip starts |
| 4. Back With the Seller | The parcel is handed back to the seller. | Closed / returned to the seller |
Can You Stop a Return?
Once a parcel is on its way back, it may not be possible to stop it. If the RTS status appeared very recently, act straight away:
Step 1: Call the Helpline Straight Away
Call the Call Courier helpline on (042) 111-786-227. Give your 11 to 14-digit tracking number and ask whether the parcel is still at your local branch and can still be delivered.
Step 2: Ask About Collecting It
We could not confirm whether you can collect a parcel from the branch. Ask the helpline. If it is allowed, bring your original CNIC and the exact COD cash.
Step 3: Contact the Shop
The shop that sent your order can often contact Call Courier (now PostEx) to stop the return or ask for another delivery try.
